Cookies notice
Last updated: 6 July 2026. This notice explains which cookies polarweb.uk sets, why, and how to control them. Read it alongside our privacy policy.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work. You cannot switch them off in our banner because the site breaks without them. WordPress session and login cookies (wordpress_logged_in, wp-settings), CSRF tokens on the enquiry form, and the consent record itself.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4, IP anonymised. Cookie names: _ga (client identifier, 2 years), _ga_* (session state, 2 years), _gid (24 hours where present). We use this to see which ring towns actually read the site. No individual profiling, no ad retargeting from this stream.
Functional cookies
- Cloudflare: cf_clearance and __cf_bm, security and bot protection.
- hCaptcha (if enabled on the form): hcaptcha and hc_accessibility, bot protection on the enquiry form.
Marketing cookies
None by default. If we run a Meta or Google Ads pixel on a landing page, that page carries its own banner and separate consent. The main site does not set marketing cookies.
How to control cookies
- Use our cookie banner on first visit to accept or reject analytics.
- Change your choice later at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge each have a cookies panel in Settings > Privacy).
